Itinerary

  • On this two- and half-hour tour through on foot, we wander the colonial and republic streets of the Western and Eastern sides of La Paz accompanied by a local, bilingual (Spanish – English) tour guide, happily answering any question you may have. The majority of our guides have grown up in the city, making their knowledge of its history and customs second to none.
  • As we stroll through the produce markets, take in the colors and smells of the indigenous stalls, accompanied by the warm people of the country. Feel free to try anything that may seem unfamiliar to you, as Bolivia is home to a vast array of fruits, vegetables and nuts.
  • We'll then walk through the famed, interesting and culturally important Witches' Market. Snap pictures of the many lama fetuses hanging in the stalls along with the many totems, herbs and spices that are held in such high regard in the Andes. Pay close attention to your guide as he explains the indigenous practices that involve the plethora of items in the market place.
  • Arriving to the purple cable car stations we will over flight to a very steep journey until the highest point where we will continue to the gray cable car line having the best experiences of the panoramic view between these two cities.
  • In order to get the best view of La Paz city at the mirador stations where we will get again another cable car. The red cable car we will take us over a very old cemetery until the last train station of La Paz. An important building which belongs to the beginning of the twenty centuries. We will continue in the last cable car line. The orange line will take us close to the main square. Our nice walk will begin to the most traditional colonial street Jaen. At La Paz's central Plaza Murillo, your guide will point out the Presidential Palace, the National Congress, and other important government buildings—all impressive colonial edifices in the oldest quarter of the city.
