Terms and Conditions

These pages, the content and infrastructure of these pages, and the online reservations service provided on these pages and through the website (the “Turisbus”) are owned, operated and provided by Turisbus La Paz Cuzco Tours SRL. (“Turisbus”, “us”, “we” or “our”) and are provided for you subjected to the terms and conditions set out below.

PRICE MODIFICATION CHANGES: Prices are subject to change at any time before your reservation is confirmed and/or operated by our company. You will be notified of any of these changes, either our own services or our providers.

FOR OUR OWN SERVICES, FIT’s PASSENGERS AND GROUPS:
FIT’s (Individuals) : 1-14 persons.
GROUPS: 15 or more persons.

RESERVATIONS:
Group reservations for services throughout the year are to be made at the end of the previous year or at latest, the beginning of the year in which the services will be supplied. Definitive re-confirmation must be made at least 30 days prior to the group’s arrival. FITs reservations must be made with at least 15 days’ notice.

HOTEL RESERVATION CONFIRMATION:
Groups and FITs always require confirmation of hotel reservations which need to be communicated by fax or e-mail. In the event that the hotel does not have space for the requested date, you will be informed with
48 hours and, where possible, given the alternative of another hotel of similar category at a new price.

Ask for price OF CHARGE:
For groups of 15 persons or more, in TURISBUS’s own services (La Paz and Lake Titicaca), the tour leader will not be charged for accommodation and transportation.
Likewise, when staying at the Rosario Hotels, for 15 people or more, the tour leader will receive 100% discount on food, except beverages.
The release for Groups and Tour conductors in other hotels will depend on internal policies of each hotel.

PAYMENT POLICIES: Unless previously agreed by your agency and TURISBUS, FITs and groups must pay 100% of the bill before the service is supplied.

PRE-PAYMENT: Payment is in American Dollars, which can be transferred or deposited to our account in the US; it also can be paid online with a credit card (Visa or MasterCard).

CANCELATION POLICIES:

  • Train tickets are non refundable, non endorsable, and non transferable.
  • Air tickets are non refundable, non endorsable, and non transferable.
  • Booking cancellation and voidance (or parts of it) are subject to penalties and administrative charges.
  • The itinerary may be subject to change due to timetable variations in: international and domestic flights, trains, buses, delay in rivers and lakes due to weather conditions, social unrest or natural catastrophes and technical malfunction (planes). If that is the case, the best alternative will always be sought to the passengers. Additional charges will be paid by the passenger.
  • Cancellation 15 days before the service is scheduled will only be subject to communication charges.
  • For hotel services, in the case of no-show the first night will be charged at 100%.
  • When acting on behalf of a third party, the provider’s cancellation policies will apply.

PENALTIES
CANCELLATIONS FOR FITS:
05 days prior to arrival: 75%
24 hours prior to arrival: 100% NO SHOW

CANCELLATIONS FOR GROUPS:
45 days prior to arrival: 30%
15 days prior to arrival a: 50%
24 hours prior to arrival: 100% NO SHOW

RESPONSABILITIES:
TURISBUS reserves the right to change the means transportation, accommodations and programmed routes in cases of force majeure, offering reasonable justification, in order to protect passengers’ interests and safety.

INSURANCE: When traveling in TURISBUS buses and boats, every passenger is covered by an insurance policy worth of US$ 3000 in the event of permanent disability or death and US$ 1000 for medical expenses per passenger. For the following programs: Trekking, Amazon Adventure, and trips to Uyuni Salt Flats, each passenger must have their own private insurance. In case of luggage lost or damaged occurred in any vehicle owned by Turisbus, the company will refund up to 5 times the amount of the transportation per passenger, up to 100 USD per passenger. When serving as intermediary of the services acquired, Turisbus is not subject to any responsibility in case of cancelations, delays, luggage lost or damaged, and accidents caused during the service delivery.
Under no circumstances can TURISBUS be subject to greater responsibility for passengers or luggage than those specified in the preceding clauses.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

Unless stated otherwise, the software required for our services or available on or used by our website and the intellectual property rights (including the copyrights) of the contents and information of and material on our website are owned by Turisbus., its suppliers or providers.

Turisbus exclusively retains ownership of all rights, title and interest in and to (all intellectual property rights of) (the look and feel (including infrastructure) of) the website on which the service is made available (including the guest reviews and translated content) and you are not entitled to copy, scrape, (hyper-/deep)link to, publish, promote, market, integrate, utilize, combine or otherwise use the content (including any translations thereof and the guest reviews) or our brand without our express written permission. To the extent that you would (wholly or partly) use or combine our (translated) content (including guest reviews) or would otherwise own any intellectual property rights in the website or any (translated) content or guest reviews, you hereby assign, transfer and set over all such intellectual property rights to Turisbus. Any unlawful use or any of the aforementioned actions or behaviour will constitute a material infringement of our intellectual property rights (including copyright and database right).
