The Pilon Lajas Reseve is home of T´simanes and Mosetenes etnic groups.This Reserve offers the experience to interact with the community situated over the Quiquibey river.
Mapajo Ecolodge. The Pilon Lajas Indigenous Territory Biosphere Reserve, Rurrenabaque - Bolivia. The Pilon Lajas Indigenous Territory Biosphere Reserve offers pristine Amazon rainforest with many types of flora and fauna as well as the great ethnic and cultural richness of Chimane, Mosetene and Tacana indigenous communities along the Quiquibey river. The Mapajó lodge is only three hours by boat from Rurrenabaque and ten minutes walk from the Asunción del Quiquibey indigenous community. The lodge, situated on a cliff-face overlooking the Quiquibey river, offers spectacular views. It has comfortable cabins, a dining room and showers with running water.
