City Tour in La Paz

You will have the opportunity to discover La Paz city, placed in a deep valley at 3640 m.a.s.l. (Meters above sea level) between the Royal Range of the Andes and the high plateau, with all its cultural richness and contrast. Enjoy the tour going through the old Spanish neighborhoods, Murillo Square, the Cathedral, the Witches Market, the curious geological formations of the Moon Valley, the colorful product markets and some residential neighborhoods. La Paz is the highest administrative capital in the world. Houses cling to the hills, La Paz is surrounded by beautiful and majestic mountains such as the Illimani (6,400 meter above the sea level).

09:00 Discover La Paz city.

The tour begins visiting Murillo square, where you will find the Government Palace, the Cathedral and the Congress Building. Have a great cultural experience visiting the Precious Metals and Customs Museums, where you will find objects found in the excavations of Tiwanaku. You will continue towards San Francisco church, a sample of Andean Baroque architecture; around there is the biggest handicraft market in town, known as the Witches market, where you will see the most representative offerings for the mother earth (Pachamama). Enjoy of fantastic view of the city from Killi Killi scenic viewpoint, visit the Tiwanaku culture open-air museum. Understand a different reality of the Bolivian society visiting some of the southern neighborhoods such as Obrajes, Calacoto, San Miguel, La Florida and others. Finally you will visit the moon valley, with incredible geological formations that gave the name to this spot.
