On this two and half hour tour through on foot, we wander the colonial and republic streets of the Western and Eastern sides of La Paz accompanied by a local, bilingual (Spanish – English) tour guide, happily answering any question you may have. The majority of our guides have grown up in the city, making their knowledge of its history and customs second to none.

As we stroll through the produce markets, take in the colors and smells of the indigenous stalls, accompanied by the warm people of the country. Feel Ask for price to try anything that may seem unfamiliar to you, as Bolivia is home to a vast array of fruits, vegetables and nuts.

We'll then walk through the famed, interesting and culturally important Witches' Market. Snap pictures of the many lama fetuses hanging in the stalls along with the many totems, herbs and spices that are held in such high regard in the Andes. Pay close attention to your guide as he explains the indigenous practices that involve the plethora of items in the market place.

We'll continue down the street to the San Francisco Church; considered one of the best examples of Baroque architecture in La Paz. Stand in the cobble-stone plaza and imagine what the city may have been like centuries ago. Continuing on through the historical 'Plaza Murillo', where we head towards the well preserved 'Jaen' Street – one of the most popular tourist attractions in La Paz - where time seems as though it froze during the colonial era. This is also where you will visit the Costumes Museum and the Precious Metal Museum (better known as the Gold Museum). After the museums, we will make our way back up the hill, ending the tour at the hotel
